Gary says ‘I am absolutely delighted to have joined the team here at Alba Power. Having worked in the industry for over 30 years I was very aware of Alba’s incredible growth and unmatched service levels and I am now very proud to be part of their fantastic team.  I look forward to being part of Alba’s next chapter and supporting the already expert engineering team here at Netherley and across the world.’

Neil McKenzie, Director commented ‘To have attracted someone with Gary’s pedigree to Alba Power is a reflection on the strength of our business after a record-breaking year in 2017.  Gary brings with him an incredible amount of experience working with Avon, Olympus, Tyne and Spey Marine Gas Turbines and in particular the RB211, a key consideration for us at Alba given our growth in this market.   The appointment of Gary again shows further investment in our engineering team as we continually aim to deliver world-class service for all of our clients.’’

ALBA POWER CONTINUES GROWTH IN THE MIDDLE EAST

By | Alba News

Having secured a number of master service agreements across the Middle East in 2017, Alba Power will receive a number of engines from customers from January 2018 onwards as a result of two significant wins towards the end of the year.

The awards will allow Alba Power to consolidate and develop long term relationships with customers in the region and to create a solid platform from which to continue to build up business in what is a key growth area for the company.

The recent awards will provide revenue in excess of £5m over the next three years.

George Kelly, Business Development Manager for the region said: “These wins are the result of a number of years’ hard work and we are pleased that our dedication to the region is paying off. We have taken time to build up a reliable network of local partners who have been able to support us with our tendering process and managing the contracts on award.”

Alba Power’s Sales Director Campbell Archibald added: “These latest contract awards are particularly significant as they represent a break for the customers with the OEM; for the first time the customer in each case has chosen an independent service company to support their business. Alba Power is highly confident that we can meet their expectations and that we can provide a more responsive and more cost effective service than any other service provider.”

These awards and the growth of business in the region will allow Alba Power to increase its footprint in the Middle East, offering increased availability of lease engines and improved field service capability.
